Angel Medical Center

Angel Medical Center is planning a $4.3 million expansion of the Women’s Unit to accommodate the growing number of births in the region.

Highlands-Cashiers Hospital

Highlands-Cashiers Hospital intends to replace its existing emergency department with a $6.7 million renovation which will include a 6,800-square-foot addition to the current facility.

McDowell Hospital

Mission Health invested more than $45 million to upgrade and expand parts of the hospital, including expanded emergency room services, additional inpatient rooms and updated imaging equipment.

Transylvania Regional Hospital

The new Emergency Department will have 15 beds in larger rooms, specifically designed to efficiently pay out equipment and accommodate caregiving teams. Four rooms will be dedicated behavioral health patients.
